Amber Gardner is an experienced professional in the world of digital and social media. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Marketing from Brooklyn College, the New York native moved to Chicago to further hone her craft and pursue her career-related goals in a fresh new city.
While in Chicago, Gardner held the title of Website Coordinator at ESPNChicago.com where she managed the Radio section and enhanced brand visibility on various social media outlets. Other regular contributions at ESPN included creating balanced content for HTML based newsletters, managing content, executing interactive online promotions, editing video and audio, and coding/designing micro sites.
In December of 2010, Gardner left ESPN and ventured back to her hometown where she accepted a position at the number one indie record label in the U.S., Razor & Tie.
Gardner currently acts as Advertising Planning & Operations manager for KIDZBOP.com, a Razor & Tie property, and the leading safe social network for kids and tweens. On a day-to-day basis, Gardner designs, tests, schedules and trafficks online creative while proactively strategizing ways to develop new business and grow existing clients. Gardner continues to maintain her relationship with ESPN as a freelance vendor/designer for the company.
The products of Gardner's creative talents range from an extensive portfolio in graphic design to published clips in various newspapers and magazines in the New York metropolitan area. She has also designed for a variety of well-known companies including ESPN, MTV, KIDZ BOP, Bud Light, NARAL, Gino's East, BP, Jose Cuervo and Old Style.
In her college days, Gardner was inducted into esteemed honor societies including The Chi Alpha Epsilon National Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society and Phi Beta Kappa International Honor Society. Additionally, she received the Marge Magner Internship Honoraria in 2008 and made Dean's List eight semesters in a row.
Aside from academic achievement, Gardner held leadership positions in several student organizations at Brooklyn College. These organizations included the Business Leadership Society (Executive Vice President) and Students 4 Students. Prior to her studies at Brooklyn College, Gardner obtained a supplementary Associate of Arts degree in Performance Arts from Kingsborough Community College.
